Moving forward

Ok, so here I am 2 weeks before the start of the new Ice Hockey season and what have I done since ending my Lego Jim project. Very little is the answer to that. Due to an unfortunate incident involving my 450D and rain and reaching the end of its useful life I now find myself the very proud owner of a rather gorgeous 7D. I have also replaced the kit lens with a slightly faster (and in my opinion slightly sharper) Sigma 18-50 2.8-4.5 DC. So what do I have to show for this, well for the moment I'm only going to share 2 images. Admittedly they are my personaly favourites taken with my new babybut here goes.

The first is this picture of St Mary's Lighthouse in Whitley Bay. This place is very much photographed and as usual there were a few people down at the island with camera's. Despite my shiney new toy I really wasn't feeling the love for the sunshine and the warmth this day so I used the clouds that were there to create something a little more along with my mood of the day.

The second is an image I took only this past Sunday. I had gone out to take pitctures of the ripened fields just over the back of my house, and arrived to find the farmer had been out and busy, so instead I looked for some individual interest. I took this and wasn't sure when I reviewed it on screen but as soon as I saw it on the bigger screen I was reminded of childhood times playing in the grass in the summer holidays and how this would often be the sight right before my eyes
.

So thats it from me just now.

Keep dropping in for updates and if you fancy a shoot I am very very reasonable, just drop me a line if you want more info.
