Day 304 - Happy Halloween

Well it can only be one thing, my gorgeous daughter all dressed up as a witch for halloween.

Day 303 Baking

Halloween party tomorrow and all we've done today is cinema, swimming and dance, so a picture of cakes it is.

I'll make someone a proper good little wife one day.

Day 302 Hogwarts

We headed off to Alnwick Castle again today after seeing that their craft for today was wand making. So you can imagine Erin's disappointment upon finding that the days crafts were witch cup making and dragon charm making. Essentially pissing around with clay. Ach well we had a fun day anyway.

Tomorrow is movie day before halloween on Thursday.

Then the weekend of dance will be upon us.

Day 301 - Return to Northumberlandia

Today was a bit of a weird start to the holidays as we couldn't really go out this morning due to waiting for a delivery, more on that on day 359.

Northumberlandia looked a little different from the last time we were there, for a start it was green rather than white. It was just as cold, and just as windy, but there were no snowboarders.

There really isn't an awful lot to do, but it's worth popping up if only to stand on top of one of her nipples. (Tee hee)

Haven't decided what we are doing tomorrow but I'll be sure to tell you all about it!

Day 299 - More fluffy clouds

Last night after posting my image for the day we had a pretty awesome storm.

I managed to capture this image which I really liked.

The shot is lit purely by the sheet lightning. 

However officially that shot was yesterday, so this is today's, the only thing that pricked my interest was this rather pretty sky. 

Not as awesome as last nights but it was the best I could do.

Day 298 - Growing Up

Its hard to believe that my daughter is over 7 years old, but every so often you see a picture and go, yeah she is, shit where is my life going???

This is one of those moments.

Today is the first day of the half term holidays, and also payday, so you can imagine what happened today.

Day 297 Old school

Literally this is all that remains of any school that I attended.

This is the former sixth form block at Ridley High School. It looks as if it is being used for exactly the same purpose now but as part of the Bede Academy.

Day 296 Bbbbback to the Bbbbay

And its still freezing, I only popped along as a few mates I handn't seen for a while were playing in a game. The rink hasn't changed at all, not that I expected it to. It was a decent game played in good spirits for the most part typified by this image.....

The lighting is still terrible in that rink and the Jesters officially have the worst jersey ever for taking pictures of.

Anyway off to bed now since its stupid o clock am.

Day 295 24 hours

What did we do before we had 24 hour shops. I have this little habit whereby once every couple of months I end up visiting one of these fine establishments at ridiculous I clock in the morning because I simply can't sleep. Thankfully today wasn't that day, it was just thanks to the short days that I could take this picture.

Day 294 Car Defenders

Funny how little things can become superstitions. In my case really little things. Everyone knows how much I love Lego. Since I got my current car I have always carried around a lego Darth Vader in the car and recently he has been joined by a Lego Thor given to me by a good friend. It's now gotten to the stage where they are almost my St Christopher's I would hate to think about travelling without them!

Day 293 Colours

Today I had my first paid gig in what seems like an age. And I was going to post an image from that but instead I'm posting this image as it's had a pretty awesome response on Facebook and Instagram.

I think we're about 4 or 5 days away from some really really awesome colour in the trees and may have to try and find somewhere to capture them in all their awesomeness properly.

But for now this is my take on autumn

Day 292 Portrait of a domestic goddess

Well maybe not quite but she is having fun in the new kitchen!

This was taken just after she had finished making a video for Grandma and Grandpa showing them all the best features of the new kitchen.

Tomorrow I have an actual shoot. Good times!

Day 289 Cheering up Lee

At work today Lee seemed a little bit sad. Someone mentioned that he was thirsty (I assume unrelated) so I thought I would try and cheer him up.

He must have appreciated it as he drank them all except the nose. I think he's still in the toilet now!

Day 288 Off and Running

Well the water is anyway. 

The blog is really suffering with this upheaval, I promise I will return to form soon.

In the meantime, here is our new sink and tap. Being excited by this shows I really am well and truly middle aged.

Back to work tomorrow but I will try and bring you something a little more interesting.

Day 283 Eating Out

Since the kitchen is out of action we are eating out a lot at the moment, something Erin doesn't seem to mind too much at all!

I'm beginning to think she'd be glad if the kitchen never got finished! 

The good news for me is that the plastering is now done so now we are just waiting.... Which is full, but to be honest the kitchen already looks better.

Day 282 Filling in Gaps

Day off today and it was only about 2 things for me. Taking the old kitchen to the tip and going to the dentists.

While I was having holes in my teeth filled the house was having holes in the walls filled. Not where the doors go mind, that would just be daft. 

I say holes in my teeth it was one filling, which is the same price as 3 or 4 so a bit of a rip off really! 

Still apart from that and my new dentists obsession with gums I got the all clear.

Day 279 Day out in Moffat

Sunday we headed in the car up to moffat to meet my mum for a birthday lunch. We met at moffat as it's about half way between the 2 houses. 

Typically it rained for half the morning so we spent some time looking around one of moffats many shops that all sell exactly the same stuff! But again to make it a bit more fun we got a bit silly.

Day 278 Shopping

So today is actually day 281 but the last few days have been manic so this is going to be a bit of a whirlwind update.

Saturday was all about kitchen shopping which is a little dull for a child so we tried to make it as much fun as possible by playing in ikeas set up rooms.

We've all had one of those days where nothing goes right and everything you touch seems to turn to shit.

Well today wasn't that day for me... But it was for this guy!

Strangely the light still worked later on in the evening.

Day 276 Unconditional

They say the love you get from a loved pet is the closest you can get to unconditional. Sully may be getting on a bit but every now and again I see the little puppy that we fell in love with 11 years ago. 

If you want a dog that will let you know just how much they love you then I would totally recommend a boxlie

Day 275 Happy birthday Mum

21 again today. The woman that has always been there for me no matter what, loves me no matter what, and has my back no matter what.

Finally with Erin I understand some of the shit I put you through, and realise you were always doing your best by me, even if I couldn't see it at the time!

Thank you for everything mum. I couldn't wish for a better mother.

Day 274 Morning Light

I was going to go out my way today to get an image to share with you but sometimes an opportunity just presents itself. This time it was just after dropping the wife off at work, Erin and I headed to the beach to watch the sea a little bit before school, the lighting was amazing.
